  • The Ultimate Pickleball League (UPL)is the nation’s premier semi-professional, team-based pickleball league — designed to elevate local talent, create city pride, and provide a clear competitive pathway from recreational play all the way to national recognition. Built around inclusivity, integrity, and professional-level competition, the UPL gives players of all ages, genders, and skill levels a chance to compete in a structured league that bridges the gap between casual play and full professional pickleball.

Learn more about UPL’s Official Game Format, Rosters, Ratings & Match Rules HERE.

  • Our goal is to secure sponsorships that reduce or eliminate player out-of-pocket costs over time. As sponsorships are secured, we intend to cover or reimburse certain expenses where possible.

UPL is in its inaugural season. While final details are still being finalized, players selected for a UPL team should expect to be responsible for certain costs during the season, including:

    • Leorêver uniform package (estimated ~$250)

    • Travel and lodging for league events

    • DUPR+ account (currently $3.99 per month or $29.99 per year)

  • UPL roster eligibility is capped at approximately the 5.5 level. Players rated above 5.5 will not be eligible to compete in the league.

The combine is primarily focused on evaluating players in the 4.5–5.5 range, though skill level is not the only factor considered. Team needs, chemistry, versatility, and overall fit all play a role in forming a cohesive roster.

Players below the 4.5 level are welcome to attend the combine. However, the evaluation environment will be fast-paced and highly competitive.

  • The 2026 UPL timeline is still being finalized. The season is scheduled to begin on April 11 and is expected to run approximately 18 weeks, with games held every two weeks.
